Scott Paul in a hat

Scott Paul

I build things, back people early, run a sauna, and started a church that worships the Sun. It's a full calendar.

Hi, I'm Scott.

The short version, no job title required.

I came to Utah to be a ski bum. Then I sold ad space for utah.com, started an MBA at the University of Utah, and accidentally became a founder.

Since then I've started companies, sold a few, and invested in a lot of other people's. These days I'm mostly working on Phi, a health company Kirk Ouimet and I started. I also co-own a Japanese onsen with my wife Natalie and our partner Shane Inoue and write a daily journal on the internet for more than ten thousand people who chose to read it.

Most of what I've learned comes down to one thing: bet on yourself first, then on people who are doing the same.
